I've done a fair share of research over the 35 years I've been training performance dogs. I've wanted to feed my dogs the very best available, so that they could in turn enjoy good health and perform to their best ability. It does no good to put the very best training on a dog with the very best genetics and then fuel that animal with less than the best food available.
Over the years I've fed a variety of feeds with a variety of results. Some foods have given me good, basic nutrition and performance. A couple have made my dogs sick every time fed, and two have given me "stop-the-presses" positive results.
I feed Timberwolf Wild & Natural, however my dogs are sport and working animals and have high caloric needs. Older and retired dogs eat Cosco Kirkland brand mixed with Timberwolf. Timberwolf is simply the best dog food I have found. The improvement in my dog's coats has been nothing short of amazing.
